THINGS TO DO: SPRING IN KOREA!

Spring is known by its warm weather. People really anticipate this season, especially after a freezing Winter. In Spring, the scenery is becoming beautiful. This is because the cherry blossoms are starting to blossom. *YAAAY!

If you are in Korea, this beautiful scenery cannot be missed! Warm weather, pinkish trees' flower petals, light blue sky, these are indeed, a perfect combination!

But, aren't you curious about what locals do here in Spring? If you are, let us tell you! These are 5 things what locals do in Spring here ...

1. CYCLING

In Korea, you can find bicycling facilities easily everywhere! For only 500 won, you can rent bicycle for an hour. Even if you do not know Korean that well, you can still rent it easily because there are a lot of vending machines to rent bicycles with English language options. Some cities in Korea has a big river and when Spring comes, cherry blossoms in riverside are blossoming. For example in Gapcheon, Daejeon atau Han river, Seoul. Can you imagine riding a bicycle on riverside with the blowing wind in between the cherry blossom petals and gurgling blue river water? It's surely exciting, isn't it?

2. PICNIC

It's picnic time!

Almost every cities in Korea has parks that are full of people doing picnic in Spring! Warm weather and pinkish trees complete togetherness of doing picnic with families, friends or even boy or girlfriend. If you do picnic in Korea, there's special thing you cannot miss to bring, which is dosirak! It's a packed meal Koreans make to bring outside, in Bahasa Indonesia, we call it "nasi kotak". 3. TALK A WALK IN A PARK!

Talking a walk, alone, with pets, with friends, no matter who you are with, it's really exciting! It can release your stresses too. In addition, you can stop for a while and take pictures below blossoming cherry blossoms trees. So exciting!!!

4. STRAWBERRIES!

Spring means strawberries! In Spring you can find strawberry everywhere in Korea. Because it's strawberry's harvesting time by Spring. If you are in Korea, make sure you visit one of strawberry farms here. We visited Nonsan's strawberry farm this week. You can directly harvest strawberries and eat them there! Fresh from its tree!

5. FESTIVALS!

Spring in Korea has many festivals! Tulips festival in Everland Theme Park, strawberry festival in Nonsan, starlight cherry blossoms festival in Daegu, and many others. Pssst... each festivals has its special foods, and that's why you cannot miss them!
